"Le Meunier hurlant", from the novel by Arto Paasilinna by la compagnie Tro-Héol, was selected by the ONDA, the European cultural Season ( CulturesFrance) and the review " Inrockuptibles " within the framework of the operation "27 shows", organized on the occasion of the French presidency(chair) of the European Union.


The company Tro-héol is subsidized by the Ministry of Culture and Communication - DRAC of Brittany, the Regional council of Brittany, the General Council of Finistère and municipality of Quéménéven …






The story takes place in a small village in Finland. A new Miller has just arrived and everybody find him very strange. He’s howling at the moon.


He will soon have all the inhabitants of the village against him, except for a handful of characters with whom he will make friends …


Using different points of view and alternating perspectives between big and small, our “Howling Miller " tells, through furious, black humour and a touch of despair, how a community succeeds, by fear or stupidity, in creating its own monsters !
